The HH54VP2 Portable Emergency Weather Alert Radio from Midland is a convenient and portable way to stay aware of current weather alerts and other local emergencies. The radio is Public Alert certified and features S.A.M.E. technology to receive alerts and warnings for your area, and it can store up to 9 county codes. It has 7 preset weather channels and a scan feature that will lock onto the strongest signal, providing you with information directly from the National Weather Service or Environment Canada.
The radio offers home and travel modes, letting you choose manual or automatic channel selection. The large backlit LCD screen and color-coded alert indicators provide visual alert status, and you can even keep the LCD continuously lit for use as a makeshift flashlight. The radio also features an alarm clock with snooze. The radio can operate via the included rechargeable battery pack, or via a set of 3 AA batteries in case of an emergency.
